Detangling

Firstly, you should detangle the hair gently from the ends of the hair and work your way up by using a wide tooth comb or detangling brush.  For curly hair, wet the hair first before detangling. 

Sulphate-free Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner

Use sulphate-free moisturizing shampoo and conditioner products when washing your wig or extension pieces. Sulphates are harsh chemicals that strip away moisture and oils from the strands, leaving them dry and weak over time. 

Weekly shampoo and conditioning are crucial for keeping our Indian, Vietnamese, Burmese or Cambodian Raw Hair and our Premium Virgin hair looking its best. Fill your basin with warm water and add shampoo, dip the hair in and out of the water several times and try not to rub the hair.  Repeat the same steps with a moisturizing conditioner and apply a good amount.  Leave the conditioner on the hair for at least 30 minutes and detangle the hair again while the conditioner is on the hair.  Gently rinse the conditioner gently out of the hair with warm water.  We recommend air drying the hair.

We also recommend giving the hair an intensive treatment at least once per month.   

Air Drying and Light Oils

Avoid excessive heat styling as it can cause damage to the hair fibers. Instead, opt for air drying your hair whenever possible.  In between washes, apply a small amount of light oil, such as Argan oil, to keep your hair moisturized and add a natural shine. Kinky and Curly Hair 

For our Kinky and Curly Hair, after shampooing and conditioner has been applied and rinsed out of the hair.  Gently remove excess water from the hair but make sure the hair is still wet.  We recommend sectioning the hair into 4-6 parts, then apply a curl cream to each section and gently brush the product through the hair with a Denman brush to create beautiful curls.  We recommend air drying the hair or use a diffuser.  Try not to manipulate the hair too much after the hair has dried to avoid frizz.  Each day you can refresh the hair by spraying the hair with water using a spray bottle.  No need to apply more product, as the product is still in the hair but you can apply a dry oil mist to add extra sheen to your hair.

Protective Styling at Night

Before going to bed, wrap your hair with a silk or satin scarf to minimize friction and tangling.
